February 12, 2020

One of Australia’s most recognised and respected politicians, the Honourable Julie Bishop will share unique and intimate insights into business and leadership when she takes to the stage in Brisbane next month as keynote speaker at the 2020 Club Plus Super AHG Breakfast.

Ms Bishop served as the Federal Member for the West Australian seat of Curtin for 20 years, but did you know that she also made Australian history not once, but twice? She was Australia’s first female Foreign Minister, representing our nation’s interest on the world stage for five years. She was also the first female Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party in its 75-year history, a position she held from 2007 until 2018.

Since retiring from parliament last year, Ms Bishop has dedicated more time to pursuing her passions in other areas. She is the Chancellor of Australian National University, chair of the Telethon Kid’s Institute and a member of a number of international advisory boards dedicated to affecting positive change all over the world.

A true trailblazer, Ms Bishop has a background in law (serving as Managing Partner at Clayton Utz in Perth prior to entering politics) and has beenthe West Coast Eagles AFL Club’s Number 1 ticket holder and a past board member.

One of Australia’s most recognised and respected politicians, both at home and abroad, to say Ms Bishop has had a compelling career in politics, law and diplomacy thus far is an understatement.

“I’m looking forward to visitingBrisbane to share some leadership insights with the Club Plus Super AHG Breakfast crowd,” Ms Bishop said.
