Eat and drink your way around the 2023 AHG Expo

March 16, 2023

There will be plenty of ground-breaking products and services on show at the Australasian Hospitality and Gaming Expo (AHG Expo) presented by TAB, MAX & SKY, but we’d be lying if we said the food and drink samples won’t be a major highlight come Wednesday March 22 and Thursday March 23. We’ll be looking out for these exhibitors…

Campari | Stand 162

Founded in 1860, Campari Group is now the sixth-largest player in the global branded spirits industry. They’re marketed and distributed in over 190 markets around the world, with a portfolio of over 50 premium and super premium brands including Wild Turkey, Skyy Vodka, Espolon Tequila, Truly Seltzers and Aperol (of course). “Our Australian offices were established in 2010, so we have a dedicated sales team across the nation to support your venue. We also have an award-winning training academy, Campari Academy, for all your staff training needs,” says Peta Hemphill, Campari’s National Account Manager on Premise. “We are excited to be a part of this year’s expo for the first time and can’t wait to see how we can all partner and grow our businesses together.” Campari will be showcasing their Aperol RTS (Ready to Serve), their new authentic Italian non alc Spritz Crodino, Truly Seltzers and the brand-new banana flavoured bourbon, Howler Head.

Worksmith | Stand 165

Beverage company Worksmith is known for making killer batched cocktails. Staffed by a team of hospitality experts (from talented and creative former bar staff to front of house and venue owners), they officially launched in 2017 but they’ve done a lot of growing since then – especially during the COVID lockdowns. “We now offer batched cocktails to venues who need great drinks for their guests, but quickly and with minimal training required for staff,” says Worksmith CEO and co-founder Michael Bascetta. “Worksmith also runs hospitality community events, talks and brings everyone together for the annual fun that is Melbourne Cocktail Festival.” The Worksmith team is looking forward to being among their peers at the 2023 AHG Expo, but they’re most excited about connecting with venues they can help develop great cocktail programmes with. “We’re also bringing our slushies to town which have been incredibly well received this summer as they debuted in venues,” adds Michael. “We’re even bringing our new Espresso Martini, which puts coffee at the forefront. Shake, strain and away you go.”

Zummo Juicers | Stand 157 & 158

Zummo Juicers have specialized in creating cold press juicing solutions for food retail and food service businesses since 2014, when they introduced their Zummo Automatic Citrus Juicing machine into the Australian market. “Our automatic citrus juicing machines are the most reliable and efficient on the market, delivering the highest yield of any other brand,” says Zummo Juicers Sales Director Marcelle Horn. “These labour-saving machines are fully automatic and have a unique squeezing system that ensures the fresh juice is free of oils, bitterness, and contaminants.” Returning after exhibiting at the 2022 AHG Expo, Zummo Juicers will be bringing their Z14 Contactless machine – an ideal tap and go option for patrons – to this year’s expo. “We’re looking forward to introducing food and beverage venues to the concept of having a freshly squeezed juice offer for their patrons and the profitability that can generate,” adds Marcelle.
