AHG Tastes returns in 2019 after stellar launch

February 2, 2019

Launched last year to wide hospitality industry appeal, the sell-out AHG Tastes expo is back in Brisbane in 2019, shining a spotlight on new national food and beverage products and services.

AHG Tastes is part of the Keno Australasian Hospitality and Gaming (AHG) Expo at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on March 27-28, 2019. The annual expo is a collaboration between ClubsNSW, Clubs Queensland and the Club Managers’ Association Australia and is without doubt a highlight on the national calendar for everyone involved in hospitality and gaming industries, clubs, pubs, restaurants, cafes, bars and entertainment venues.

The AHG Tastes precinct offers expo visitors an even more diverse selection of exhibitors focusing on cafes, bars and restaurant products and services. AHG Tastes came about as internal research found the primary reason people visit a community club or a pub is to enjoy a meal or beverage. AHG Tastes offers fresh insight into how community clubs and pubs and other hospitality vendors can expand their food and beverage offering to satisfy their customers.

Clubs Queensland CEO Doug Flockhart says the AHG Tastes precinct is set to enhance the 2019 AHG Expo for existing delegates, while enticing business owners from restaurants, cafes and food service providers to look for the latest innovations in the food and beverage business.

“AHG Tastes accommodates the need for education, product, technology and innovation for food and beverage operators,” Mr Flockhart says. “A specialist precinct within the AHG Expo, AHG Tastes showcases the latest on all fronts.”

The 2019 AHG Expo week includes an impressive lineup of stand-alone events around the expo itself, to extend on the education, inspiration and networking opportunities provided to operators in hospitality and gaming. Highlights include:

Monday, March 25: Bus tours of the newest and most inspiring clubs, pubs and bars across South- East Queensland (SOLD OUT).

Tuesday, March 26: National Governance and Management Congress. Wednesday, March 27: Treasury Wine Estates AHG Cocktail Party.

Thursday, March 28: TrendWatching’s global director of Trends and Insights, Maxwell Luthy, will fly from New York into Brisbane for the first time to present his ‘5 Trends to Supercharge Your Strategy’ at the ‘Embrace Change Breakfast’ – a presentation for small business owners not to miss!

“The AHG Expo focuses on assisting those in the hospitality business to meet the fast changing demands of their customers,” Mr Flockhart says. “Business owners must open their eyes and minds to innovation and change, whilst also being willing to lead and innovate.”
