It’s one of the most anticipated events on the MAX Australasian Hospitality and Gaming Expo (AHG Expo) calendar, and delegates have been waiting with bated breath to find out which celebrity keynote speaker will be taking the stage at the 2022 AHG Breakfast.
The wait is finally over. The AHG Expo team is thrilled to announce that breakfast attendees will be dining with none other than rugby league ‘Hall of Famer’, Cameron Smith.
One of the most beloved faces in the NRL, Cameron boasts an accolade-packed, 19-year career on the footy field. Considered a ‘future Immortal’, Cameron has represented Queensland and Australia and won 20 Dally M Medals (for best and fairest, hooker of the year, representative player of the year and captain of the year).
He is the NRL record holder for most matches played (430), highest all-time point scorer (2786), most tackles made (16917) and most wins (310), among others. He was even appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2019 for his service to rugby league.
Now, Cameron is getting ready to add ‘AHG Breakfast speaker’ to his long list of feats.
AHG Expo and Clubs Queensland CEO Kelly Egan says Cameron’s billing will be a major drawcard for breakfast attendees.
“We are excited for Cameron to join us at the AHG Breakfast and know that expo-goers will be just as thrilled,” says Kelly. “Having played for Australia, the Queensland Maroons and captaining the Melbourne Storm to greatness, we can’t think of anyone more qualified to talk all things leadership at the AHG Breakfast.”
Adding to the excitement, the AHG Expo have also announced Australia’s biggest multichannel wagering provider, TAB, as the new major sponsor for the 2022 AHG Breakfast.
TAB General Manager of Retail – Venue Transformation, Trevor Parkes, says their partnership with AHG Expo just makes sense.
“Each year, the AHG Expo – and the AHG Breakfast in particular – provides an opportunity for our industry to come together and share ideas and innovation,” says Trevor. “At TAB, our primary goal is to provide a seamless experience for our over 4,500 venues throughout the country. The AHG Expo allows us to do exactly that.”
As one of the most recognised and trusted names in Australian betting, the AHG Expo team is confident that TAB is the perfect partner for this long-awaited event.
“It has been two-and-a-half years since our industry has come together for a major event,” says Kelly. “With TAB and Cameron on board – both household names in their own rights – this year’s AHG Breakfast looks set to be our best yet.”
