We’re calling for pubs and clubs to enter the AHG Expo Cocktail Competition! Make a twist on a classic cocktail that’s perfect for enjoying on a hot summer’s day and send through your entry! With thanks to Diageo, there are great prizes up for grabs with the top 3 placed finalists all receiving flights to Bundaberg to visit the Bundaberg Rum Distillery for a VIP Blend Your Own Rum Experience, with the overall winner also receiving a $500 VISA card PLUS a case of their own unique blend of rum!
How to enter:
Create it:
- Use up to 6 ingredients (excluding ice and garnish)
- The drink should have a minimum 30mls of Casamigos or Don Julio Tequila
- Must not exceed 2 standard drinks
Judging criteria: taste, visual appeal & creative name
Upload the following by 9am Thursday 27th February:
- Your First and Last Name
- Pub or Club Name and Position Title
- Email and Mobile Phone Number
- Cocktail details: your cocktail title, the full recipe, the glassware required and a photo of your cocktail.

You will be notified on Monday 3rd March if you have been successful in advancing to the grand finale.
When is it drawn:
Six finalists will be selected from the online submissions, who will all be invited to compete in the grand finale, which will be held at the AHG Expo on Thursday 13th March, at 11am. Attendance is required in-person, where drinks will be made, then tasted by an expert panel of judges.
The winner will be announced on the day.
What to bring with you on the day:
At the grand finale, Diageo will supply the key ingredients of Casamigos or Don Julio Tequila, as well as the glassware you specified in your submission, plus the standard cocktail-making tools of a shaker, strainer, muddler etc. Ice is also supplied.
You are required to bring ALL other ingredients and garnishes with you on the day (if you would prefer to use your own fancy glasses, or your own lucky shaker, feel free to bring these along too).
The decision of the judging panel is final.
